Policy
Last updated 7 June 2026
This policy explains what we collect when you contact us or use a website we build, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Who we are
Mach One Management ("Mach One", "we", "us") is a Sydney studio that designs, builds and manages websites for small businesses. This policy applies to this website (themachone.com) and to the sites and lead tools we build and host for our clients.
You can reach us any time at [email protected].
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a contact or booking form, you may give us your business name, phone number, a preferred day and time to call, your email address, and anything you write in a message. We only ask for what we need to get back to you.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting records basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page that referred you and the time of your visit. This is used to operate the site, keep it secure and prevent spam.
Information we handle for our clients. When you submit an enquiry through a website we have built for another business, we collect those details on that business's behalf and pass them to them so they can respond. In that situation we act as their service provider, and the business you contacted is responsible for how they use your information.
We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we never ask for passwords to your Google, social or banking accounts.
How we use it
We use the information you give us to:
- reply to your enquiry and call you at the time you asked for;
- prepare a quote and provide the services you ask about;
- operate, maintain and improve our websites and tools;
- keep our services secure and prevent misuse; and
- meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
When we share it
We only share personal information where it is needed to provide our services:
- The business you contacted — where you submitted an enquiry through a client's website, we pass your details to that business.
- Trusted service providers that help us run our infrastructure on our behalf, such as our website hosting and our email delivery service. They are only permitted to use your information to provide their service to us, not for their own purposes.
- If the law requires it — for example in response to a valid legal request, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.
Cookies and analytics
We keep tracking to a minimum. The site does not run advertising trackers or sell your activity. Any cookies or measurement we use are limited to what is needed to make the site work, remember basic preferences and understand traffic at a general level. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then work less smoothly.
How we protect it
Your information is stored on secure, access-controlled infrastructure, and connections to our sites are encrypted (HTTPS). We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we treat your details with care.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it to respond to you, provide our services and keep reasonable business records. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or remove the details that identify you. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date; or
- delete your information from our systems.
Just email [email protected] and we will action it within a reasonable time. If your enquiry was sent through a client's website, you may also need to contact that business directly.
Overseas storage
Some of the service providers we rely on (such as our hosting and email providers) operate servers outside Australia. Where information is stored or processed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it continues to be handled with appropriate protection.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can put it right. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our services change. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
