Selected work
QC Media
A Sydney video production studio with no website at all. We built one that behaves like the work it sells: a phone held in frame, playing their real reels, moving as you scroll.
The live site, recordedqcmedia.com.au
The starting point
Brandon runs QC Media, shooting video and photography for construction sites, events, gyms and brands around Sydney. Good work, a full client list, and no website. Everything ran through Instagram and word of mouth.
That works until it does not. A reel proves you can shoot. It does not answer the questions a bigger client asks before they hand over a budget: what does this cost, how long does it take, who else have you worked with, how do I brief you. There was nowhere to send anyone.
The idea
His work is vertical video. Reels, shot for a phone, watched on a phone. Putting that in a widescreen banner across the top of a website would have been the obvious move and the wrong one, because it strips the format that makes the work land.
So the site was built around a phone held in frame, playing his actual reels. It stays pinned as you scroll while the copy beside it changes, so the work is never off screen. You read who he is and how he works with the footage still running next to it.
The website plays his work the way his clients actually watch it.
The hand and phone are a real photograph with the screen cut out, so the video sits behind it and the fingers overlap the device properly. It reads as someone holding a phone, not a video pasted into a rectangle.
What we built
- A scroll-driven hero: pinned phone, three panels of copy moving past it
- A services section covering social reels, brand films, CASA licensed drone work and custom briefs
- A five step process, from consult to delivery, so pricing and timelines stop being a conversation he repeats
- Real client stories pulled from his existing reviews, with the businesses named
- A trusted-by logo wall that scrolls on its own
- Quote capture, so an enquiry lands in his inbox instead of a DM request
It is hand-coded. No page builder, no template, no theme to outgrow. The motion is real animation rather than a plugin, which is why the phone can stay locked in place while everything else moves.
Where it landed
Those are QC Media's numbers, and the site now says them out loud. Before this, a prospect had to infer all of it from a grid of reels.
The site is hosted and maintained by us on a care plan, so Brandon does not touch a host, a registrar or a certificate. When the work changes, the site changes.
